These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to purchases made through 99cbook.store, operated by 99c Book Store, an Ireland-based sole trader business.
By purchasing an e-book from 99cbook.store, you agree to these Terms.
Please read them carefully before completing a purchase.
Nothing in these Terms affects any legal rights you have as a consumer under applicable Irish or European consumer-protection law.

We sell digital e-books that are supplied electronically rather than as physical books.
2. The products we sell
99cbook.store sells digital e-books.
Each product page should provide sufficient information about the particular e-book being offered, including its title and other relevant product information.
E-books are digital content and are supplied electronically.
There is no physical book or physical delivery unless a particular product expressly states otherwise.
Irish consumer law provides specific protections for digital content, including requirements concerning conformity with the contract and remedies where digital content is not supplied or does not conform to the contract.
3. Prices
Unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page, our e-books are sold for €0.99 per book.
The price displayed at checkout is the price applicable to your order.
Where applicable, the price will include VAT and any other taxes or charges that we are legally required to include.
We will not add undisclosed charges after you have placed your order.
If an additional charge applies, it will be presented to you before you complete your purchase.
4. Purchasing an e-book
To purchase an e-book:
- Select the e-book you wish to purchase;
- Add it to your shopping cart;
- Proceed to checkout;
- Provide the requested information;
- Select PayPal as the payment method;
- Complete the payment process through PayPal; and
- Complete the order.
Before submitting your order, you will have an opportunity to review the details of your purchase.
Your order will only be accepted once payment has been successfully processed and we have confirmed the transaction.
5. Payment
Payments are processed through PayPal.
We do not store your complete credit-card or bank-account details.
When you select PayPal, you may be transferred to PayPal or otherwise interact with PayPal’s payment services to complete the transaction.
PayPal’s own terms and privacy policies apply to its payment-processing services.
If PayPal declines or does not complete a payment, we may be unable to fulfil the order until valid payment has been received.
6. Delivery of digital content
E-books are delivered digitally.
Where the payment is successfully completed, the e-book will generally be made available for immediate download through the website or the relevant order-confirmation/download process.
You may also receive information or a link allowing you to access your purchase using the email address supplied during checkout.
Delivery may occasionally be delayed by technical problems, payment verification, website maintenance or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to restore access or otherwise provide an appropriate remedy.
Under Irish consumer law, a trader supplying digital content has obligations concerning the supply of that content, including where the consumer has not received the digital content.
7. Digital content requirements
We aim to ensure that each e-book supplied through 99cbook.store:
- Corresponds with its description;
- Is of the quality and functionality reasonably expected of the relevant digital content;
- Is supplied in the format described on the relevant product page;
- Is accessible using reasonably compatible equipment and software where compatibility information has been provided; and
- Is supplied with any instructions or information that are required to use the digital content where applicable.
The statutory rights of consumers concerning conformity of digital content continue to apply.
The Consumer Rights Act 2022 provides that digital content supplied under a consumer contract must conform to the digital content contract and sets out subjective and objective requirements for conformity.
8. Your statutory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
If an e-book is not supplied, is defective, or does not conform to the contract, you may have statutory rights and remedies under applicable consumer law.
Depending on the circumstances, these may include having the digital content brought into conformity, a proportionate reduction in price or termination of the contract.
The Consumer Rights Act 2022 provides specific remedies for digital content that is not supplied or does not conform to the contract.

We will assess the issue and provide the remedy required by applicable law.
9. Right to cancel and digital content
Consumer cancellation rights can operate differently for digital content than for physical goods.
Where digital content is supplied immediately after purchase, you may be asked to expressly acknowledge that:
- The digital content will be supplied before the end of the normal cancellation period; and
- You understand that, once supply begins with your agreement, you may lose the statutory right to cancel that contract.
Any cancellation acknowledgement or consent required by law will be obtained through the checkout process.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove any cancellation or other consumer right that legally remains available to you.
10. Refunds
If you are entitled to a refund under applicable consumer law, we will provide the applicable refund in accordance with the relevant legal requirements.

11. Use of purchased e-books
When you purchase an e-book, you receive a personal right to access and use the digital content for your own lawful, non-commercial purposes unless the product description or applicable licence expressly states otherwise.
Unless you have a separate legal right to do so, you must not:
- Resell the e-book;
- Distribute the e-book to other people;
- Upload the e-book to file-sharing websites;
- Make the e-book publicly available;
- Reproduce or republish the e-book for commercial purposes; or
- Circumvent technical measures used to protect the digital content.
These restrictions do not limit rights you may have under applicable copyright law, including any statutory exceptions.
12. Copyright
Unless otherwise stated, the e-books sold through 99cbook.store are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights.
Copyright in an e-book is not transferred to you merely because you purchase a copy.
Your purchase gives you the right to use the digital content in accordance with the applicable licence and these Terms, subject to your statutory rights.
13. Accounts
Some functionality may allow you to create a customer account.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
You should notify us if you believe that someone has accessed your account without permission.
We may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business, subject to your legal rights.
14. Website availability
We aim to keep 99cbook.store available and functioning correctly.
However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to the website.
The website may occasionally be unavailable because of:
- Maintenance;
- Updates;
- Security issues;
- Technical problems;
- Hosting problems;
- Network problems; or
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Temporary website downtime does not affect statutory rights relating to a completed purchase.

We use third-party services to operate the website and process purchases, including PayPal, WordPress, WooCommerce, MailPoet, hosting services and email services.

We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or terms.

17. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
In particular, nothing in these Terms excludes or limits:
- Your statutory consumer rights;
- Liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited;
- Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded;
- Liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
- Any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
Subject to the above, we are responsible only for losses that are legally attributable to our acts or omissions under the applicable law governing your purchase.
18. Events outside our reasonable control
We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including significant failures of internet services, hosting providers, payment providers, telecommunications networks, cyber incidents, natural disasters, government action or other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
This does not affect any statutory consumer rights that apply to your purchase.

20. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Ireland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights that apply to you under the law of the country in which you reside.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to deprive a consumer of mandatory rights or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
Changes will normally apply to future purchases and will not retrospectively remove rights that you already have under a completed contract.
The “Last updated” date at the beginning of these Terms will be changed when material amendments are made.
The Terms applicable to your purchase are the Terms made available to you at the time you place your order, subject to applicable law.
